On Saturday, May 4, don't miss the chance to visit two of Granville's most historic sites: The venerable Old Academy Building at the corner of West Elm and South Main, and the Old Colony Burying Ground right across the street on South Main.
The Old Academy, built in 1833, is seldom open to the public. On this day, however, you're invited inside to see the building and a slideshow of historic Granville. It will be open 2:00-3:30.
Then stop by the Old Colony for a guided tour on which you'll learn about some of Granville's earliest families. Old Colony Burying Ground tours start every half-hour from 2:00-3:30.
